The Caisse populaire de la Ouareau in Rawdon
How tough is a bank
on its customers ?
Do you want to know a funny definition of a banker ?

It is the guy who lends you an umbrella and wants it back when it rains!"

But it is not so at the Caisse populaire de la Ouareau, who invited someof their clients last Tuesday to a golf tournament at Rawdon's (very British) Golf Club.

It started pouring the night before, it rained all morning, but the Caisse pop insisted that the tournament took place.

As expected it was a very, very wet event. But the Caisse did'nt ask for their umbrellas and so everybody was under the impression: "We have a golf cart and an umbrella, and maybe it will stop raining. So, we will make it."

And it did'nt stop raining, and the Caisse and the clients did'nt give up until everybody was wet like a cat.

How should le miroir interpret this unusual behavior?

Is there maybe a secret bind between the Caisse and the clients, or is the Caisse so "populaire" that nearly everybody went to the end of the game not to get, later at the bar, a few nice comments from his bank manager?

However, it continued raining meanwhile the barmen and girls tried to compete the outside situation with streams of vodka (russian = water) and other powerful drinks to warm the crowd up.

As expected, the united golfers showed inside the clubhouse the same toughness against water and cold like outside.

The reporter from le miroir - not used to tough events like this - barely followed, freezing outside in the rain, and he was close to be filled up inside at the bar.

The result is this skinny story and just a few photos. But le miroir wanted to honor the Caisse pop for another exceptional reason:

Thanks again for the computers which helped us to start two years ago.

Since that time, we have developed real "family feelings" for the Caisse pop, and it looks like many other clients did it too.

Otherwise, they would not go with their bankers through the hastle of a water battle like this, organized by their group from ''Gestion des avoirs''.

Last comment:
After slowly drying up during a very nice evening, I did'nt see anybody collecting umbrellas.
